The incident led to the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, police said.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were subsequently released.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
