The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a gripping narrative including angels, demons, and dark forces increasing in power within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of heroes who will separate from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table includes Teor (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a violent first encounter with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, attacking the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the team reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

According to the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Seekers and Strategists tables.

Fans can look forward to learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
